Teacher/Student Blogging

I really think one day blogging will take the place of paper journals. Parents are already contacting me more via email than phone or in person. Students can benefit from "blogging" with their teacher and peers because they typically can get out exactly what they want to say by typing it. It also allows interacting to go on outside the classroom.

You are so right when it comes to parent communication. I send my newsletters and other classroom news/information via e-mail to all my parents. I got their e-mail addresses at the beginning of the year, so most of our communication is through the use of a computer. I personally like it because I feel like I save time and paper!
